Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
Aithera is desktop software that runs on your own computer. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it, and what we do — and do not — receive.
The short version
- Your email, calendar, files and conversations are processed on your own machine.
- We never receive the content of any of it.
- The only thing that can reach us is optional, anonymous technical diagnostics, and you can turn it off.
- Aithera works fully without an account.
Who is responsible
Aithera — [legal entity name], [registered address]. Contact: hola@aithera.tech.
What the application accesses on your computer
When you connect an account or a folder, Aithera reads what it needs in order to do the job you asked for. Depending on what you connect, that can include:
- Your email messages and their metadata
- Your calendar events
- Files and documents in the folders you choose to make available
- The notes, drafts and instructions you write inside Aithera
All of this is read, processed and stored locally, on your own device. It is not uploaded to our servers, it is not used to train anything, and we have no way to read it. If you disconnect an account or uninstall the application, the local copy goes with it.
Connecting a Google account
If you connect Gmail or Google Calendar, Aithera requests only the permissions it needs for the features you use, and the access token is stored on your own computer. Aithera's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The content of your messages and events is not transferred to us, is not sold, and is not used for advertising or to train models. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account's security settings, or by disconnecting the account inside Aithera.
Optional diagnostics
To find faults and improve stability, Aithera can send us a small technical report. It is off unless you turn it on, and it is tied to a random identifier that is not linked to your name or email.
What that report can contain:
- The application version and which release channel you're on
- General characteristics of your computer (operating system, available memory and processing capacity)
- Counts of operations that succeeded or failed, and how long they took
- Technical error descriptions, with file paths stripped of anything identifying
What it never contains: the text of your emails, senders or subjects, the content of files, anything you typed, the results of any task, your passwords or access keys, or any path containing your username.
You can switch diagnostics off at any time in the application's settings. With it off, nothing is sent.
If you create an account
An account is optional and only adds identified support and, in the future, licensing. If you create one, we store your email address, your name if you give it, and basic records of your active sessions and devices so you can review and close them. You can delete the account at any time from the application or by writing to us.
Deleting your account removes it from our side. The data on your own computer stays where it is — you remove that by uninstalling Aithera or clearing its data folder.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. The providers we rely on to run the service itself (hosting and email delivery) process only what is needed for those functions — never the content you work on inside Aithera, because we never have it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export the information we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw a consent you gave before. Write to hola@aithera.tech and we will respond within the legal deadline. If you believe we have handled this poorly, you may lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
How long we keep things
Account data is kept while the account exists, and deleted after you close it, except where we are legally required to retain records. Diagnostic reports are kept for a limited period and then removed.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and we'll say so inside the application when the change is significant.
